We have you covered!  The Fabrication Series is now offering an Open Shop Fabrication Class day! We have condensed 3 very popular lesson topics into one hour lessons which include the information you need to know AND the hands on education you need to learn!

Simply choose your class and the time that works best for you. All you have to do is show up and learn!

How to Measure and Bend a Main Hoop

Want to know how to accurately measure and bend a Main Hoop for a roll cage? You will be able to do it in only one hour!

How to Bend a Main Hoop

Upon completion of this class you will be able to:

  • Measure the bend positions of a main hoop to fit a chassis
  • Understand proper layout techniques
  • Calculate the total material needed to bend
  • Use a tubing bender to bend a main hoop

Attendees get their choice of using a JD Squared Model 3 manual tubing bender, or a Rogue Fab Model 600 hydraulic tubing bender! Classes are available in one hour sessions from 9:00a to 6:00p. No classes are scheduled from 12:00p to 1:00p.


How to Make Pie Cuts

Pie Cuts are one of the most popular topics for new Fabricators. They are often regarded as the most confusing things to fabricate. However, we'll have you measuring and cutting pies in only an hour!

How to Make Pie Cuts

Upon completion of this class you will be able to:

  • Identify a Center Line Radius (CLR)
  • Identify and measure the correct cut, transition, and assembly angles
  • Mark straight tubing for accurate cutting
  • Cut straight tubing into correct transition angles
  • Make a pie cut bend!

Attendees of this class get to keep their pie cut assemblies after making them. Classes are available in one hour sessions from 9:00a to 6:00p. No classes are scheduled from 12:00p to 1:00p.


How to Make Roll Cage Gussets

Gusseting a roll cage can be very tricky. Everything from layout, material selection, and fabrication requires knowledge and skill to do. The best part is we can show you how to make roll cage gussets for an actual car in only one hour!

How to Make Roll Cage Gussets

Upon completion of this class you will be able to:

  • Identify correct material for the required gusset design
  • Measure and layout gusset design on sheet metal
  • Understand dimple sizes and compensation
  • Cut sheet metal for dimple dies
  • Operate a dimple die press
  • See your complete gusset on a real chassis

Attendees of this class get to keep their gussets after making them. Classes are available in one hour sessions from 9:00a to 6:00p. No classes are scheduled from 12:00p to 1:00p.


 

Proper Personal Protective Equipment is REQUIRED and must be approved. These items include:

  • Eye Protection (safety glasses)
  • Hand protection (gloves)
  • Hearing protection (ear plugs)

Pants and closed toe shoes are also REQUIRED. If you do not own proper Personal Protective Equipment, it can be purchased from us and will be included in the price of the class by choosing the options in the drop down menus before checkout. 

If you show up without proper Personal Protective Equipment, you will be asked to purchase ours or leave. You will NOT be permitted to participate in the class if you do not have proper Personal Protective Equipment. If you are unsure if your PPE is acceptable, please contact us BEFORE purchasing the class. 

Welding will be conducted during the class by the instructors. Attendees of the class will not be permitted to operate the welder. If you own proper welding eye protection (a certified welding helmet/shield/hood), you may bring it in order to view welding operations. Welding proficiency is not required to attend the class. 

Refunds will ONLY be offered up to 24 hours before the class begins (Friday, July 14, 2017, 9:00 AM PDT) unless there is a unique or extenuating circumstance.  DO NOT book this class if you can not attend. 

Positions are not guaranteed for each class. In the event of an over booking, the last reservation will be refunded and offered a discount on the next class. Changing dates is not guaranteed. 

You must be 18 years of age or older to attend this class. You will also be required to sign a personal injury waiver as well.
