Get & Stay

  • 10 minute drive from Harry Reid Airport

  • 9 hotels within 1 mile

  • 2 hotels within 1/4 mile

  • Most people use food delivery apps for lunch, or bring a lunch. Lunch is not provided

  • Rideshare transportation is quick and responsive

  • DO NOT stay at Motel 6 (even though a famous movie was filmed there)

A few notes about staying in Vegas from a local native….

  • Hotels on The Strip (Las Vegas Blvd) are VERY expensive. Most booking sites do NOT show the full price. Additional taxes & “Resort Fee’s” are added at check-in regardless if you use the hotel amenities or not. You can NOT get the fees waived.

  • Off-Strip hotels are often less expensive and often do not add additional fees (double check before booking)

  • TFS is located across the street from Allegiant Stadium and hotels generally inflate rates during event weekends (games, concerts, etc.). Be sure to check events prior to booking

  • Rideshare services are better than taxi services. If you choose a taxi, do not allow the driver to take you the “fast way” as they drive a longer distance on unnecessary routes (like on freeways and interstates which is 100% not a direct route to TFS)

  • EVERYTHING on The Strip is expensive. Food is 3-4x, drinks are 10x, and bottle of water can be $20 or more. The best food/drink/entertainment is off of The Strip. Any local bar, restaurant, food chain, outlet, etc. is in Vegas and 10x cheaper if you go to any location off of Las Vegas Blvd.

  • TFS is located in an industrial complex which does not have a lot of food choices near it (basically nothing walkable). It is recommended you bring a lunch or order food for delivery. Sometimes Justin is able to transport people for lunch, but please don’t depend on him in case he is not able to leave the shop during lunch time.

  • It gets really hot in the summer (over 100 degrees F) and really cold during the winter (often below freezing). We get 2 weeks per year where it is really nice out. We require pants and closed toe shoes during our class even though the weather outside might not match the outfit. Please plan and dress accordingly.

*Future support is offered on occasion via email or quick call. Please do not confuse future support with a continuation of your training. While we have offered support in the past for some people who find themselves struggling with a specific problem, we will decline support for those who continuously ask for help welding and overload our support system. We have taught thousands of people to weld hands-on and response times and availability for future support is limited.
